.2011 wedding trends.

here are my predictions for 2011 weddings

 more outdoor venues

 DIY (do it yourself) these are the programs and invitation from my wedding which we made

 polka dot wedding gowns

 men in fashion suits

 more romantic

 displaying pictures of family from their weddings

 rustic/vintage feel

.prayer is powerful.

there is a lot going on in me and spensers life right now
but, the most important, spenser's final internship for engineering
spenser is very interested in a few companies in portland and seattle
i have been praying my heart out that he gets what he so desires

but

the Lord has a plan for spenser and i and i am sooo anxious to know it!!
last year me and spenser had a heart pounding week as we waited for the Lord
and took a few leaps of faith as He provided for us 
sending me into pure and overpowering thankfulness

this wednesday 11:40am: interview

i wonder, have i prayed enough, what can i be doing right now
do i have to wait this year, will spenser get his favourite choice
blah blah blah.....

but

my prayer has turned from worried prayers of future plans to thankfulness
i know. I KNOW the Lord has everything all planned.  He has blessings to pour out
i need to remember each day that me and spenser are His and that His plans are Divine

being born in Texas gives me this weird appreciation
i love cowboy boots. hats. dolly look-a-likes. big belt buckles
horses. the texas flag. the longhorns. Jesus. home sweet home.
everyone has their own way of life, i like country life.

i have this odd obsession with picture frames
i came home today and looking inside me and hubby's apartment i realized i have a problem
i have been analyzing why....here is my thought
i think i am scared of moving past the moments that the photos were taken in
so i put them ALL up, so just in case i lose my memory i can at least look

.wedding inspiration.

while planning my own wedding i had about 6 different themes in my head, but none of them where even closely related so i had to pick one... i sometimes wonder what i would have done different with my wedding...well nothing, i loved it, so instead i can think about everyone else's... here are some inspirations for if or when i can plan someones wedding

we pretty much make a whole day out of it
its a 3 day weekend as of today

when i was growing up and going back to louisiana and texas every couple years it never dawned on me how cool my back story is and where my family is from

so i took down the last of the christmas decorations today
i needed to replace the empty space
so a few mason jars and candles later....
new decor :)
